NRI Guide to Visiting Tirumala (Tirupati) for Darshan This guide is intended for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) planning to visit Tirumala (Tirupati) during their vacation in India. It combines my personal experience with the official Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) guidelines. Background Until 2025, I typically booked a one-day Tirumala Darshan package through the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC). Beginning in 2025, NRIs have the option of availing themselves of the NRI Darshan Quota , which allows eligible visitors to purchase the ₹300 Special Entry Darshan ticket on the same day. The ticket counter generally operates between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM . It is advisable to arrive by 11:30 AM so you can be among the first in line.
